LEARN SPANISH IN MONTEVERDE

Monteverde, is a small town in Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Is recognized for being one of the most well known sanctuaries of wild life in the tropic.

About Monteverde

The reserve has an extension of 10, 500 hectars of lanf and maintains six different live zones. The weather and land produce an incredible bio-diversity. There are at least 400 types of birds in the most elevated part of rainy forest, that includes the shining Quetzal, that was considered the sacred bird of the Mayas, more than a hundred types of mammals, 120 of amphibians and reptiles, and approximately 2,500 different types of plants that makes Monteverde a paradise for birds lovers.

The main attraction is Reserva Biológica Bosque Nuboso Monteverde at the Southeastern end to the East of Monteverde proper, which is an enormous nature reserve. But usually only the area around the park entrance is visited. There are trails further inland though, where one can also stay overnight on platforms in the trees. It is even possible to cross the entire park to the Arenal Volcano, though this needs good planning and for those who are not used to jungle trekking it is advisable to go with a guide. If only because they tend to spot much more and will point out animals that one would likely never have spotted.

Near the reserve, there are some places that are worth to visit in the nearest Santa Elena. The 'El Bosque Eterno de los Niños' (Eternal Child Forest), the first rainy forest for the kids around the world and the butterflies forest for those who likes to admire these colourful hauled jewels.

Spanish courses in Monteverde

Intensive

This is a general Spanish language course with a small group that includes 20 lessons per week .
During every session, the teacher will focus on both theory and practice, covering all of the elements needed to become proficient in a foreign language . Grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking and vocabulary are always incorporated simultaneously, in order to approximate the student to an authentic communicative environment .

You will also be encouraged to develop intercultural competence with a combination of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable you to communicate and interact across cultural boundaries. Our approach to learning Spanish is intended to be as close as possible to real life situations in the Spanish-speaking world. Every lesson is independent but - as is the logical nature of any language - the use of grammar and vocabulary will be cumulative and sequential from class to class.

One to One

If you do not have much time and wish to make the most of it, you can follow your own pace of learning with a personalized course. This means that neither you nor the teacher need follow the pace and interests of your fellow students,as in any other group course. You can also choose a mixed option: group class on an Intensive course + individual classes.

We will continue to advise you right until the end. Firstly, we analyze your individual goals and then create a personalized program adapted to you with regard to content, timetable and additional activities such as company visits and cultural tours and excursions.
